Important - No Refunds After Start
â ī¸ Important - No refunds after start: Once a Fire Marshal Course is purchased and you have started the training, refunds are not possible. Course access is a digital educational service that is delivered in full the moment you open it - it cannot be returned, reused, or reassigned.
What counts as "starting" a course? A course is considered started, and this no-refund rule applies, as soon as any one of the following happens:
- You confirm the course start agreement and open the course player for the first time;
- Any module, lesson, video, slide, or training material inside the Fire Marshal Course is accessed or viewed;
- Any quiz, exam, or assessment inside the course is opened or attempted;
- The course licence purchased by an employer or company is assigned, sent, or activated for a learner account (see Section 5);
- A Fire Marshal Certificate for the course is generated (see Section 4).

Completed Courses & Issued Certificates - Never Refundable
Once a Fire Marshal Course has been completed, or a Fire Marshal Certificate has been generated or issued for it, the training service has been consumed in full. From that moment, a refund is not possible under any circumstances, for any reason, at any time.
- Certificate issued = service fully delivered. The certificate is the final deliverable of the course. Once it exists, there is nothing left to cancel or return.
- This applies whether the certificate was downloaded or not - generation alone is full delivery.
- It also applies to courses completed quickly. Our online Fire Warden training is self-paced by design; finishing fast does not reduce the value of the training or the certificate.
- A certificate is only valid while the payment for the underlying course remains settled. If a payment is reversed after completion, the certificate is automatically invalidated and revoked, and any employer or authority verifying it will be informed that it is no longer valid.
Requesting a refund while keeping the benefit of a completed course and its certificate is unfair to every honest learner and is treated as a breach of our Terms & Conditions.
Employer & Team Purchases - Assignment Counts as Activation
Many employers buy Fire Marshal Training for their teams across London and the UK. For company and multi-seat purchases, the following rules apply:
- Once a course seat is assigned, sent, or made available to an employee or any named learner, that seat is activated and is no longer refundable - even if the employee has not yet opened the course. Assignment is the delivery of that licence.
- Unassigned seats that have never been allocated to any learner may qualify for a pre-access cancellation review under Section 6, within 14 days of purchase.
- Seats cannot be swapped from one employee to another once assigned. Choose recipients carefully before sending course invitations.
- If an employee leaves your company after being assigned a Fire Marshal Course, the seat is not refundable and cannot be reissued to a replacement.
- The employer is responsible for the accuracy of employee details (name, email) entered when assigning courses.
Our platform records the exact date and time each seat is purchased, assigned, activated, started, and completed, so both you and we always have a clear audit trail for every learner (see Section 11).
Eligibility Before Starting a Course
In limited circumstances, you may be eligible for a cancellation review if you have not yet started your Fire Marshal Training:
- 14-day window: If you have not accessed any Fire Marshal Course content and the licence has not been assigned to any learner, you may request a cancellation review within 14 days of purchase.
- Verified against access records: Eligibility is assessed case-by-case and is verified against our platform access records, which show precisely whether any module, content, assessment, or assignment activity took place. Even viewing a single page of course material voids eligibility.
- Original payment method: Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method only. We never transfer refunds to a different card, account, or person.
- Out of window: Refund requests made after the 14-day window, or after any access or assignment activity, are not eligible.
- Corporate orders: For bulk Fire Marshal Training purchases in the UK or elsewhere, eligibility depends on whether any seat has been assigned or any learner has accessed content (see Section 5).
To protect your eligibility, do not access your Fire Marshal Course and do not assign any seats until you are certain you wish to proceed with training.
Digital Content - Legal Basis & Waiver of Cancellation Right
Access to our online Fire Warden training constitutes the supply of digital content under UK consumer law. Your Fire Marshal Course is made available in your account immediately after payment.
- Immediate access: By starting your Fire Marshal Training (or by assigning a seat to a learner), you expressly request immediate performance of the service.
- Express waiver of the cancellation right: You acknowledge that your statutory 14-day cancellation right is lost once access or assignment begins, as permitted by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 for digital content supplied with the consumer's prior express consent. You give this consent when you accept the course start agreement shown before the training begins.
- Industry standard: This reflects common practice across the Fire Marshal training industry and e-learning sector in the UK and internationally.
We recommend reviewing all Fire Marshal Course details, including module content, learning outcomes, and prerequisites, before starting. Once you begin your Fire Marshal Training, your Fire Marshal Certificate journey has commenced and standard refund rights no longer apply.
Cancellations, Transfers & Substitutions
Understanding our transfer and substitution policy helps avoid complications with your Fire Marshal Training purchase:
- Non-transferable licences: Fire Marshal Course licences are assigned to the named learner/account on purchase, assignment, or first activation (accessing modules, content, or assessments) and are non-transferable.
- No person-to-person transfers: Transfers to a different person or account are not permitted at any time. Your Fire Marshal Certificate will be issued to the registered learner only.
- Email corrections: If an email was entered incorrectly for the same learner, contact support before any access so we can correct the account details. Once online Fire Warden content is accessed, changes are not possible.
- No partial refunds: We do not provide partial refunds for incomplete modules, unused time, or courses finished faster than expected. If you complete some but not all content, the licence remains assigned and no refund is available.
- Duplicate purchases: Duplicate purchases made in error (the same course bought twice for the same learner within minutes) are reviewed case-by-case - contact us immediately and before any access.
Ensure you enter the correct learner details at purchase. The Fire Marshal Cert cannot be reissued to a different name after course access begins.
Course Validity & Expiry - No Refunds for Unused Access
- Each Fire Marshal Course licence includes a generous access period, stated on the course page, during which you can start and finish your training.
- If a course licence expires unused, no refund or credit is due. The service (availability of the training) was delivered throughout the entire access period.
- Fire Marshal Certificates also carry a validity period (shown on the certificate). The natural expiry of a certificate does not entitle the holder to any refund - renewal requires a new Fire Marshal Refresher purchase, which keeps your training current and compliant.
- Expired courses and expired certificates cannot be reactivated, extended, or exchanged.
Technical Issues - Support Instead of Refunds
If you face access or playback issues during your Fire Marshal Training, our dedicated support team will provide troubleshooting and completion assistance. This includes browser checks, device compatibility verification, progress resets, and video playback solutions to help you successfully complete your online Fire Warden course.
Technical problems do not qualify for a refund once Fire Marshal Course content has been accessed. Our platform works on all modern desktop, tablet, and mobile devices; where an issue is on our side, we fix it and extend your access where appropriate - the remedy for a technical problem is always a working course, not a refund of a delivered service.
Access Records & Proof of Delivery
To protect both you and us, and to keep every refund decision objective, our platform automatically keeps secure records that prove exactly what was delivered and when. These include the date, time, and network details (such as IP address and device type) of account registration, acceptance of our terms, course start confirmations, sign-ins, orders, course and module access, assessment attempts and results, and Fire Marshal Certificate generation and downloads.
- These records are the single source of truth for refund eligibility - they show conclusively whether a course was accessed, assigned, progressed, or completed.
- They are processed under our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and proving service delivery, and are retained in line with our data retention policy.
- Where a payment dispute is raised, these records are provided to the payment provider and card issuer as formal evidence of delivery.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Please talk to us first. If you have any concern about a payment, contact [email protected] before contacting your bank. Almost every issue can be resolved quickly and fairly by our support team - a chargeback is slower for you and creates costs for everyone.
- We contest unjustified disputes with full evidence. If a chargeback is raised for a Fire Marshal Course that our records show was accessed, assigned, progressed, completed, or certified, we will submit our complete access records (timestamps, IP addresses, accepted agreements, course activity, exam results, and certificate history) to the payment provider and the card issuer as proof of delivery.
- Certificates are voided on reversal. If a payment is reversed, any Fire Marshal Certificate obtained from that purchase is automatically invalidated and revoked, and verification requests for it will return "not valid".
- Accounts may be suspended. Raising a chargeback while keeping the benefit of the training is a breach of our Terms & Conditions and may lead to permanent account suspension for the learner and any linked company account.
- Costs are recoverable. We reserve the right to recover the disputed amount together with any dispute fees imposed on us.
Corporate & Group Orders
Bulk enrolments, vouchers, and learners added to a corporate portal for Fire Marshal Training follow this policy, including the assignment rules in Section 5. Whether your organisation is based in London, elsewhere in the UK, or internationally, these terms apply to all Fire Marshal Course purchases.
Employers may set internal rules that are stricter than ours regarding online Fire Warden completion deadlines or Fire Marshal Refresher schedules. Promotions, Vouchers & Funding
